Mike Schmitt

A graduate from the University of Toledo in 1987, Mike started with Jet Container in the sales department. He currently is the sales manager and has 4 representatives reporting to him. His role is to teach and help his sales reps bring in new accounts in the state of Ohio.

Mike enjoys working out, bike riding, travelling and really enjoys helping out the community here in the Columbus area.

Mark Schmitt

Mark Schmitt is the CFO of Jet Container Co.  He has been involved in corporate finance and auditing for more than 20 years.  Mark became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1994, today however he works in the private sector as an unlicensed professional.

Before joining Jet Container, Mark practiced public accounting at his own firm specializing in taxation and internal auditing for community banks.  Prior to that Mark spent ten years working for a public accounting firm auditing financial institutions.  He has also spent two years in the internal auditing dept. at KeyBank.

Mark holds a BSBA degree from Miami University, Oxford, OH..  He was raised in Gahanna, Oh.  He and his wife, Lisa, live in Gahanna, OH and has one child.

Steve Schmitt

Stephen J. Schmitt, Vice President, Operations, joined the company in 1989 as an inside customer sales representative and later as an outside sales representative.  After sixteen years of building customer relationships, Stephen decided to take on a more different and challenging role of company operations.  From 2006 to current date, Stephen serves as VP of Operations.   In this new position, he is responsible for plant performance, setting high performance standards and goals, development of employees, and assisting in the company’s future growth strategy.

Stephen holds a BS degree from Ohio University and also spent two years in flight school at the Ohio State University pursuing his passion for aviation.  He holds a private pilot license and is instrument rated, he is an AOPA member.  He is also a member of TAPPI and AICC.

J.T. Schmitt

J.T. Schmitt, Facility Manager, JT grew up learning the family business by working in the plant during high school and college breaks.  Upon graduating from Ohio University with a degree in managment, he worked for a residential and commercial electrical contractor for 3 years.  In April 1999, he joined Jet Container full time.  Currently, he manages the 256,000 square foot facility, including machinery, trucking and support equipment.

Richard Prohl

Richard Prohl is manager of the Jet Container Design Department. He has a BFA in Industrial Design and has been working as a corrugated structural designer since 1989. Richard is very creative and has won numerous awards for his designs. He enjoys a challenge and loves to present innovative solutions.
